Product Summary

The system requires a dual-redundant configuration consisting of two identical processor modules (CP461 style S2 or later, or CP471), ensuring high availability and system reliability. Additionally, two power supply modules (PW481, PW482, or PW484) are necessary for the redundant setup. The I/O modules must also be configured in pairs for redundancy, with a maximum of 8 modules allowed in total, further enhancing the system's robustness and fault tolerance.

Maintenance Information
Processor Module (CP461):
Requires two modules for a dual-redundant configuration.

Online Replacement of CP471 in Dual-Redundant Configuration:
Users are permitted to replace the CP471 module in a dual-redundant configuration.
When replacing CP461 with CP471, the following conditions must be met:
The Control Function software for the Field Control Station must be version R6.05 or later.
The style code of the ESB Bus Coupler Module (EC401) used with CP471 must be S3 or later.
Replacement from CP461 to CP471 should only be performed by an authorized service engineer from Yokogawa Electric Corporation.
CP471 cannot coexist with CP461 in the same dual-redundant configuration. However, a pair of CP461 modules can be online replaced with a pair of CP471 modules.
CP471 must not be replaced with CP461.
